My name is Karl Fix. For those of you who do not know me let me tell you a little about myself:

- born in near Ingolstadt  in 1950 and immigrated to Canada in 1958. In turn I can speak reasonable German

- have been involved in various aspects of Canadian rugby(club and provincial coach and player along with a board member of our national union)

- have helped organize and was part of numerous tours to Germany . Regina Rogues 1986( first Canadian club ever to play against a German team), Vancouver Kats 1988, Saskatchewan U17&19 1993, Canada   U17 1998 ,Canada U23 2003

- have helped organize various tours from Germany to Canada. Heidelberg Neuenheim 1988 , German National team 1988, Hanover DRC 2004.

For any further references please feel free to contact your national team coach Rudy(Bazi)Finsterer or president Claus Pater Bach both who I have been friends with for over 25 years.

The purpose of this email is to let you know that if your club or regional team has any intention of touring to Canada that I would be more than happy to help you out with arranging your trip at this end. I'm not a travel agent and I do not look to make any money off this. I do however feel that touring is an vital aspect of our rugby culture and in turn I know that when looking at arranging a tour abroad it is helpful to have a point person at the other end.

I am now only involved with an invitational touring side(DOG RIVER HOWLERS RUGBY CLUB) who's logo/motto is - IT'S MORE THAN A GAME,IT'S A WAY OF LIFE.

One other thing. Below is an email I attached from a young Canadian (19) who wants to come play in Germany for a year. He has a German backround and I think is looking to come over for one year to improve his German language and have some fun.
